This Week’s Best Apps

In this week's app roundup: cows, herded (and not abducted); Adult Swim, mobilized; DSLRs, controlled remotely; birds, trained to fly; cocktails, mixed; flights, found; cook books, brought dazzlingly into the future, and more!

The week's best iPhone apps

Cows vs. Aliens: The premise is simple: herd your cows into your barn without letting any pesky extraterrestrials in. You can get by using two thumbs, scooting the cows and aliens along in various directions, but as their numbers start to increase, you're probably gonna wanna try out more fingers. $2. Check out the rest of this week's best iPhone apps here.

The week's best Android apps

ZDbox: ZDbox for Android is an "all-in-one" toolbox app that makes it easy to find out what's going on in your phone: you get exact battery percentage and traffic usage (with alerts!) and can set a do not disturb time range, lock apps (like Gmail or messaging) and batch uninstall unwanted apps. Super easy to use. Still in beta but works really well.Check out the rest of this week's best Android apps here.

The week's best iPad apps

This Week's Best AppsOscar Backstage Pass: This is a great idea: An application that allows you to view the Oscars exactly how you want. Just click where you want to be in a map, and it will show real time video from that camera. A perfect way to stalk your favorite stars from the red carpet to the moment they sit their butts in the Kodak Theatre and the Governors Ball. ABC's Oscar Backstage Pass is just $1 and it is designed for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Check out the rest of this week's best iPad apps here.
